It would seem that the current Mahindra Scorpio for sale has been under development for forever now. But every day, we inch closer to the day when this SUV will be upgraded or refreshed again. Set to be one of the biggest car launches in India in 2022, a new Scorpio SUV was spotted on a test run. While the test mule was draped in camouflage, it manages to give away some details nonetheless. So, we figured, now is a good time to do a check-in and see what is known about the Mahindra SUV in India so far.
This SUV will sport a new chrome grille with the brand's 'Twin Peaks' logo, twin-pod LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED foglamps, roof rails, new alloy wheels, rear spoiler, etc.
Inside, the Scorpio will likely get a completely redesigned dashboard and a whole lot of modern features. We reckon the home-grown automaker will offer provisions such as a touchscreen infotainment system, a multi-function steering wheel, an analogue instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, and a digital multi-information display, among other things.
Now, on to the next-gen Mahindra Scorpio SUV's engine options and specs; while the company is yet to confirm these details, word has it Scorpio SUV will be available with a choice between a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit.
